5 star alllll the way! From the service, the atmosphere and the food! I walked out of this place a changed woman! Delicious! I got the Rib Eye Arepa and the Steak & Cheese Empanada. Let’s just say- I ate it so fast and I was sad it was over and that I was too full to have more! Definitely will be putting this place on the repeat list! The staff were so so kind! Amazing service!

Heard about this place near 61st and Mingo. VENEZUELAN FOOD. How rare is that in Tulsa? Today we have Patacones. What is Patacones? Basically it is smashed plantains deep fried until crispy and used to sandwich a pile of meat. You can choose green or yellow and have your choice of beef, chicken or pork. I got the Amarillo plantains which are sweet . This sweetness works really well with the shredded pork. The crunchy exterior contrasts nicely with the tender pork and lettuce in the Patacones. This is good stuff and unique in Tulsa for sure. Short of booking a flight to Caracas this is the best way to get a taste of Venezuela. The portion was large suitable for a working men's lunch. The plantains were deep fried so they were a little greasy. They could have been helped by leaving on a paper towel to drain off a little of the grease. Other than that, this item is a must try if you do visit.

Venezuelan fast food, and American fast food with a Venezuelan spin. Some of the South American foods tend to be heavy, fried, with lots of meats, starches and mayo-based sauces….and I love it! For us today’s lunch; Tequenos, Combo de Tostados with shredded chicken, and Tumbarrancho with shredded chicken. Details of the food is in the current menu pictures I posted with this review. The Tequenos were basically a cheese stick covered in a light bread dough and deep fried (as in mozzarella sticks only a different breading.) It was served with a with a mayo-based dressing that tasted similar to tarted sauce. The Combo de Tostados came as two per the order. Each was shredded chicken, cheese, cabbage and the “house” mayo-based special sauce, piled between two deep fried arepas. The Tumbarrancho had the same filling, but the construction was different. It was a large thick arepas, battered, deep fried then pried open and stuffed with the ingredients. Everything was wonderful! I loved the food! In the restaurant they have the menu in both English and Spanish. Check it out! It has quite a variety, with great looking burgers, subs and a breakfast menu. They have different specials. The owner told me about his very special Christmas dinner. “Some of those items may be available on the regular menu later in the year.” I sure hope so…. Order at the counter/pay at the counter. The food is delivered to your table in in fast food type trays. Friendly staff, good service.
